Children Matter East, the East of England Children and Young People's Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) Forum.

The Forum has been designed to provide a stronger more cohesive single voice, conduit and point of reference for the sector and its statutory partners. The Forum mirrors local arrangements within the sector and includes national or regional specialist networks or organisations who are already contributing to the development of the Children and Young People's VCS.

VISION: The sector wishes to ensure that it is able to continue providing the best possible outcomes for children and young people by maximising its ability to represent itself nationally, regionally and locally.

AIM : To provide a cohesive arena in which members can develop influence with national, regional and local partners and to help coordinate resources to support the development of Children and Young People's VCS in the East of England.

PURPOSE: To support the development of:

• Sustainable and integrated voluntary and community led services for children, young people's, their families and their communities.
• Better arrangements for Children's Trusts and their regional partners to engage the Children and Young Peoples VCS, and their (Trust's) ability to deliver integrated outcomes.
• An effective regional interface and gateway with the Children and Young People's VCS - for statutory partners, stakeholders, central government initiatives and private fund holders.
• Investment that enables the Children and Young People's VCS to be included in strategic (and locality) decision making and governance arrangements.
