VCS Engage East Midlands Partnership

The main aim of the group is to share information and to offer mutual support to local infrastructure so that the best possible outcomes can be delivered to Children, Young people and Families (CYP&F). The group works collaboratively with key regional stakeholders to influence policy and support good practice around members' involvement.

Quarterly meetings are well-attended by a wide range of organisations delivering services to children and young people across the age ranges (including play, pre-school and youth services). The meetings provide opportunities for wide-ranging discussions about the 'state of the sector' and creative thinking about ways forward.

VISION: To improve the effectiveness of the CYP&F VCS in the East Midlands.

AIM: To work across the CYP&F sectors, to build and develop the local and regional voluntary sector capacity, working alongside Government Offices.

PURPOSE:

  • To increase the range and quality of CYP&F services offered
  • To enable/improve the capacity of VCOs to represent the voice of service users
  • To achieve policy change at local and regional level
  • To increase the access to safeguarding training and information
