Yorkshire and the Humber Network

The aim of the VCS Engage programme in Yorkshire & the Humber (Y&H) is to improve the engagement of the Children, Young People and Families VCS in the design and delivery of the Every Child Matters agenda in the region. The work is fully described in the current Regional Development Plan, which can be accessed here.

Overall aim of the programme:

To improve the effectiveness of the Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) VCS in delivering ECM outcomes in Yorkshire & Humber (Y&H)

Specific aims

  • To increase the cohesion and fitness for purpose of CYPF VCS local & regional networks
  • To increase the influence of the CYPF VCS on local and regional policies & processes
  • To increase the range & quality of CYPF VCS services locally and regionally

Reports/Resources

The Yorkshire and Humber regional group discussed the Government's personalisation agenda at their 11th September 2009 meeting. To facilitate discussion and to provide an overview of the agenda, Emilie Whitaker Policy and Information Officer at Children England provided a briefing on personalisation which introduces the topic, covers existing work and looks at implications for VCS providers.
