Hi readers,

I hope you are managing to get through these strange times as well as you possibly can! I know how hard it can be, which is why I’m here to help you make the most of Monday and start your week on a positive note. The sun is still shining (with a spot of hailstones here and there), the NHS reached its target of acquiring volunteers by the first 24 hours, and people are mostly staying at home!

The last week may have brought about a lot of changes to your usual routine, the main one being you may now have young people at home rather than in school and trying to balance educating them alongside your other tasks for the day. So I’ve compiled a list of a few resources that have been shared over social media, that you can adopt to try and make the day go by a little easier.

So without further ado, here is a small burst of positivity to start your week as you mean to go on, making the most of Monday:

PE!Last week, I shared The Body Coach’s promise to deliver 30 minutes of exercise to do at home, to your screens every weekday at 9am (and available to view at any time afterwards). Well in the first two days alone, the videos had over 5 million views! What’s great is that alongside the fact that it's free to use, the profit will be donated to the NHS! Tune in tomorrow here.

Resources!Twinkl have a variety of resources available online to suit your needs. All you need to do is create a free account, and there are thousands available to download, such as timetables, worksheets and a dedicated page helping users to get the best out of Twinkl during the coronavirus shutdown. Sign up here.

Example routine! – Want something to follow and get going asap? Here’s one of my favourite routines that I’ve seen online, incorporating outside time, exercise, a kind hour and plenty of breaks!

A no-routine routine! – But if finding some structure in the day is just not feasible, then THAT’S OK! These are truly uncertain times. What could be easier is something like this, giving you more flexibility, if that’s what works for your household!

That’s it from me, I hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of #makethemostofmonday. If you have anything to add, please drop me a line at [email protected] or tweet/DM. I do endeavour to keep producing this blog, but it may become increasingly difficult in the coming weeks (So please send any good news that comes your way!). In the meantime, I hope you have a lovely rest of your week, stay safe, and stay positive ðŸ˜Š
