Hi Readers,

What a lovely Monday 😊 I hope the weather when and where you’re reading this is just as good as mine is now!

With an election looming around the corner, there’s often a lot of negativity in the air. I’m here to remind you that that the world is still a positive place by highlighting some great stories to keep you inspired, motivated and hopefully, make you smile!

So, without further ado, here is your small burst and weekly roundup of positive news to start your week as you mean to go on, ready to kick the world’s butt.

* Youth Access are campaigning for mental health reform to 'Make Our Rights Reality – Make Our Rights Reality is a movement of young people standing up for their rights, which has been hugely successful in the last 6 months. Not only do they have 30 cross-party pledges from party parliamentary candidates, they’ve also achieved many of their goals including boosting youth-led comms and attending freshers’ fairs. Keep it going guys!

* Shape Up with Spurs– 10-week exercise and nutrition programme by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation - Shape up with Spurs is a 10-week exercise and nutrition programme launched in partnership with Haringey Council and Sport England. It is geared toward people who are obese or overweight and are not involved in regular sport or exercise. The programme will support you in getting fit, losing weight, and feeling great. Sign up clicking on the link above!

* Sophia Parker - Founder of Little Village HQ (provides donated baby clothes & kit to local families who are experiencing hardship in London) – has written a lovely piece about ‘Love and Social Justice’. It’s only a 7-min read and it will definitely make you think. My favourite quote is ‘love in action means taking on deeply embedded power structures, and seeking change in them to achieve equality and justice, but doing this through peaceful means of engagement and empathy, not force or war’.

* ‘You don’t need to be a disruptor, you can be a powerful interrupterJerome Harvey-Agyei
