A survey by 4in10 show that the the rollout of the 'free' 30 hours childcare offer and new early years funding formula present real challenges to the financial sustainability of early years providers in the capital. This report shows that Mayor and local authorities must work together to support early years providers to ensure that London’s children aren’t missing out on 30 hours 'free' childcare places and that parents are able to work, as well as protecting the quality of provision and monitoring the impact of the scheme on disadvantaged children on 15 hour places.
