Growing up in Britain… I was never spoilt and never required the finer things. I always looked and thought about the bigger picture, which was children who have less and children who have more.

Seeing both sides and experiencing the difference between the both showed me that children that grow up in a society where their parents have showered them with money and always came to their child’s specific needs and then there is a completely different side where children have grown up to absolutely nothing some even without their parents but witnessing myself how the different sides see and understand each other is fairly interesting.

Personally it seems to me that children with more money don’t tend to understand or see how a child that has nothing lives, they see it as a completely negative thing and it seems like she or he always own the best things. All these basic necessities of life are easy for the rich to get. A rich family's children have a better foundation to make their dream come true and do what they want to do. While they are happy to play with friends and families, poor children might not have enough food to eat, clothes to wear or anyone to care about them. Poor children need to try their best to make a living. They cherish every opportunity to study and earn extra money to help their poor families. What’s worse, some children don’t have a chance to go to school, to see the big world or learn what about the things they are really interested in. So why doesn’t the government do more to help? And that’s the bigger question why…

Government issues (what they can do to help poor children growing up in the UK)

•     Prices (Food, Housing)
•     Fit for purpose benefit system
•     Raise skills and improve education standards
•     Strengthen communities

My feeling is, looking at all children’s charities, I think everyone should come together as a society that puts children first.
