Hello again readers,

Hope you’re all enjoying your Monday so far ðŸ˜Š

How was last week for you all? The weather definitely dropped but I’m hoping your motivation hasn’t, has it? Okay good! But…. let’s be real, it’s hard to always stay motivated, especially on a Monday!

I’m not my best this Monday, currently stuck in bed with a cold. I would love to just sleep, but after reading some good news from the last week and some exciting things happening this week, my mind is now feeling productive. So, I wanted to share this positive news with you too, because if I can make the most of this Monday, so can you!

So, without further ado, here is your small burst and weekly roundup of positive news to start your week as you mean to go on, ready to kick the world’s butt.

Our very own Kathy Evans wins a social CEO award! Kathy was named as one of the top 25 charity #socialceos 2019, alongside many of our other members. Special shout-out to Shelter's Polly Neate who won the Best CEO on social media award and who is also contributing to our ChildFair State project.

* Sticking with the loose theme of the ChildFair State Project, we took three of our young leaders to the first Amnesty International UK Youth Conference. They networked with other young leaders, completed a workshop on mobile journalism and helped shape Amnesty’s goals for the year ahead. Want to see more? Check out my twitter @noori_piperdy where I posted updates from the event.

* RECLAIM's mock election campaign went viral last week! Featuring young people, it highlights the need for REAL people in parliament and the impossibility of achieving equality while politics is so elitist. Political satire at its finest!

* Want to know what it takes to be a social entrepreneur? The Entrepreneurs Club @ Barclays are hosting an event this Wednesday to learn and network with other like-minded individuals and real-life social entrepreneurs. And the best part is that it's free! Get tickets here.

* Here’s nice quote to round it off; "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit” – Aristotle.

That’s it from me, I hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of #makethemostofmonday. If you did, please share it using the hashtag above! If you feel you’re doing something super positive that should be included in next week's edition, drop us a line at [email protected]. I hope you have a lovely rest of your week and this has inspired you to not only keep going until Friday, but to give it your best possible shot ðŸ˜Š
