Hi there readers 😊

Apart from the never-ending wind, how has your week been? Were you able to make the most of your hours last week? Did your productivity soar just like my £1 umbrella? (short story: I left my umbrella in the office recently, stopped into a bargain shop on my way home to get a replacement, lasted 32 minutes before the wind literally blew it to pieces).

This week always seems to be an odd time of the year. Some tend to view January as a failure to get going towards their 2020 goals and February being a test run due to the length of the month. March seems to be the month where people really kick themselves into gear, and I kinda understand why. With a new season and spring cleaning on everyone’s mind, longer days and shorter nights, and usually *fingers crossed* a lot warmer weather, there’s a lot to look forward to. But, I have a different proposal for you…

You don’t need to wait until the 1st to increase your productivity or whatever change you’re planning to make: start today. All you really need to get things going is a strong mindset and a Monday. Because that strong mindset can start right this second. So, whatever you were doing before reading this blog, give it your all. And to help you along the way, here’s some feel good stories to make your work more worthwhile.

So, without further ado, here is your small burst and weekly roundup of positive news to start your week as you mean to go on, ready to kick the world’s butt:

Something to inspire you: What if I told you that supposed differences are actually superpowers? Would you believe me? Read the stories of four neuro-diverse individuals uncovering their hidden talents and explaining how the way their brains work differently, has been the key to their success.

--- Something to think about: Although this refers to specific neuro-diverse differences, I think this can be applied to any of those unique little things that make you you. So, what’s your difference, and how is it your superpower?

* Something to give you faith: if last week’s acts of kindness stories weren’t enough, this school in Wimbledon has been using The Kindness Book to encourage students to be kind to themselves and others, while focussing on diversity too. Interested in using the book with children you work with? Check it out here.

* Something to smile at: Student doctors in Sheffield run the Teddy Bear Hospital which aims to reduce the anxiety that young children may feel when seeing doctors or other health professionals, or going to the hospital. Children can check their teddy's heart rate and give them a mini MRI/X-ray. Watch this video to see what happened at their annual event.

That’s it from me, I hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of #makethemostofmonday. If you feel you’re doing something super positive that should be included in next week's edition, drop us a line at [email protected]. I hope you have a lovely rest of your week and this has inspired you to not only keep going until Friday, but to give it your best possible shot 😊
