Hi readers,

What a miserable looking Monday! I H A T E rain with a passion. I hope anyone reading this at a later date has sun beaming through their windows.

It’s been difficult for me to write about positivity today, hearing the news of the 9 lives lost was hard hitting. The three girls being just a little bit older than my eldest niece was hard for me to stomach, and meeting Kobe Bryant in 2017 and recollecting at truly what an inspiration he is was tough too. But Twitter made me remember why I started writing this blog in the first place. Someone shared a video that included this quote from Kobe Bryant in 2008 saying ‘Have a good time, enjoy life. Life is too short to get bogged down and be discouraged. You have to keep moving, you have to keep going. Put one foot in front of the other, smile and just keep on rolling.’

So readers, now that's given me the push to keep positive, here’s a couple more pieces to...

* Watch! On the theme of amazing fathers, this Dad built an accessible controller for his daughter who has a form of paraplegia. The title speaks for itself and the video is just heart-warming. Watch at the link above.

* See! a pretty drawing from some amazing young people shared by the children’s society

* Read! The school lunch scheme linking London and Liberia through Mary’s Meals. This article explains how students at Good Shepherd are fundraisers for Mary’s Meals, the NGO that funds school dinners at Vorkor and 2,357 other schools in 18 countries across the world.

*and Reflect! (for Holocaust Memorial Day) ‘How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world’ - Anne Frank

That’s it from me, I hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of #makethemostofmonday. If you did, please share it using the hashtag above!
