Hi readers,

I hope you are all as well as can be in these uncertain times. Things have changed dramatically since I last wrote this blog, and they continue change day by day. Although, the ability to stay positive feels more like the impossible, I’m here to remind you, as well as myself, that it doesn’t have to be. The sun is currently beaming down and although the situation is very hard to deal with, there are still some positive outcomes, blogs and stories that I’d like to share with you.

So without further ado, here is a small burst of positive news to start your week as you mean to go on, making the most of Monday:

Something to smile at:  Although, like me, you are probably bored and tetchy while staying at home, the earth is thanking us. The coronavirus lockdown has meant that the Venice canals are running clear for the first time in years, and fish can even be seen in the usually murky waters. And if that wasn’t good enough, air pollution and co2 levels have rapidly fallen too!

Something to do / share: As you are probably aware, the schools have now closed for the majority of pupils. Getting children up and ready to engage with school is hard enough, but then having to then educate them yourselves is even harder! In addition, children still need to be active in order to stay healthy, but that may also prove difficult due to the very important need for the country to social distance. But not only that, you might not have time to think of workouts alongside everything else! So, if you currently have young children at home, or know someone that does and would like to get them engaged and active, every morning at 9am The Body Coach will coach your children through a 30-minute session. No PE? no problem!

Something to reflect on: Last week I shared the guardian’s upside weekly digest, summarising the week’s positive news, including pieces unrelated to coronavirus. This week they’ve gone even further and this edition will not mention the C-word at all. Alongside this, the telegraph launched ‘you are not alone’, a free platform and place for stories of support, community spirit, optimism and social connectivity. Here’s their piece explaining why.

That’s it from me, I hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of #makethemostofmonday. If you have anything to add, please drop me a line at [email protected] or tweet/DM. I do endeavour to keep producing this blog, but it may become increasingly difficult in the coming weeks (So please send any good news that comes your way!). In the meantime, I hope you have a lovely rest of your week, stay safe, and stay positive ðŸ˜Š
