SCAF was established to meet the growing needs of the local community. SCAF aims to improve the general welfare of the residents of Pendle. Our goal is to work together with local people to develop our communities so that they are vibrant, cohesive, and tolerant with mutual respect for all. The main focus on activities has been young people and families. Our flagship project is a Volunteer Mentoring Scheme which places volunteers from the community in to schools and Mosques to support vulnerable young people. SCAF also delivers homework clubs, sports clubs and summer activities, employment and health projects and ESOL classes for those who speak English as a second language.
